This course meets the requirements of IMCA M117 Rev.2 It is suitable for offshore project staff, shore based Managers / office staff and personnel needing to comply with IMCA / Company guidance; Dive Supervisors, Client representatives, Rig Managers, Drillers etc. It provides an insight into key guidelines / documentation affecting DP operations and will enable participants to best utilise DP equipped vessels and appreciate their limitations.
DP Induction (Basic)
This course is for Deck Officers, Engineering Officers, ETO’s and personnel working toward an STCW Certificate of Competency, who wish to start the Nautical Institute DP Operator Training Scheme.
DP Induction for Engineers
This course provide participants with the required theoretical knowledge and some practical skills experience to support the tasks, duties and responsibilities of either a Marine Engineer or Electrotechnical officer (ETO) on a Dynamic Positioning (DP) vessel.
DP Operator Refresher
This course is for DP Operators who hold a Nautical Institute, or recognised, DP Certificate, have been operating DP systems for 3 -5 years, but have not had any refresher training. It will update the participant’s knowledge of the principles of Dynamic Positioning, DP operations, DP watch keeping “best practice” and DP emergencies taking into account recent developments and current Industry requirements/guidelines.
DP Operator Verification Of Competence
This course is for participants that hold a Nautical Institute, or recognised, DP Certificate and who are required by a 3rd Party to demonstrate Competence in DP operations. Participants will be required to prove through theoretical and practical exercise , that they are able to plan and execute DP operations.
DP Position Reference Systems
This course is for DP Operators looking to improve their knowledge and understanding of the operation and maintenance of the position reference systems and vessel sensors commonly used on their vessels.
This course is for participants who hold a recognised DP Operator Certificate issued by the Nautical Institute (NI), but do not have the required 150 days DP sea time to re validate through the conventional route.
DP Simulator (Advanced)
This course is for personnel who are registered on the Nautical Institute DP Operator scheme and who have completed the Induction course and 60 days DP watch keeping time. It provides further insight, experience and confidence in performing offshore operations under Dynamic Positioning (DP) control.
Kongsberg K-POS Maintenance
This course complies with IMCA M117 Rev.2 and is for Marine Engineers / ETO’s who are responsible for the on board maintenance of Kongsberg K-POS DP equipment.
Rolls Royce Icon and Azipull Familiarisation
This course provides participants with basic knowledge of the Rolls Royce ICON Dynamic Positioning (DP) equipment and provides an insight into the principles and practice of operating Azipull propulsion units.
Rolls Royce Icon Maintenance
This course complies with IMCA M117 Rev.2 and is for Marine Engineers / ETO’s who are responsible for the on board maintenance of Rolls Royce ICON DP equipment.
Rolls Royce Icon Operator Familiarisation
